Let’s Meet for Coffee

Do you know how lucky we are, (and luck had nothing to do with it), that God became a man because of His wonderful mysterious love for us.

Try having an intimate, satisfying normal relationship with an infinitely powerful, all wise perfect gloriously Holy being.

We will be pondering aspect of our relationship with Him for the rest of eternity, but in the meantime, we need a God who came to Earth, who is about our size and who doesn’t mind sitting down with us in the morning and to a cup of coffee.

Yes. He wants to be that intimate, and I am thankful!

So, I pose a question…

…why is it, what is the root cause of so many Christians with very little concept of the Lord’s great commission or the Lord’s example of making disciples?

This idea of birthing a little lamb, raising them, (can they magically raise themselves), shepherding them to become shepherds, mature in Christ?

Why do so few lifelong church raised Christians have no vision for those around them and at times very little love.

They appear not to know or have the Lord’s heart towards others and no eternal perspective. What are the issues, the reasons?

Proverbs 29:18 “Without vision the people perish”.  Where there is no vision, the people perish.

The Hebrew word paw-rah’ means “to perish”. Paw-rah’ was the word used in a biblical proverb where a woman’s hair was let flow out of its covering.

God Doesn’t Make Mistakes

“Therefore hearken unto me ye men of understanding far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.” Job 24:10 KJV

God doesn’t make mistakes. He does not do wrong, ever. If God could go back to have a do over, He would not do anything any differently.

A being that fails to be perfect does not deserve the title of God nor the honor of worship.

The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Moses is beyond us in every way.

God didn’t make a mistake when making you, nor did He make a mistake allowing suffering to befall you while allowing blessings to befall the wicked. He did not accidentally allow a hurricane to form or the Holocaust to occur, nor can we condemn a being who’s character is where we derive the definition of moral goodness from just because He has not yet given us His reasoning for doing so.

Who are we to put God on trial?

God is so beyond us in every way, yet He is willing to endure the torturous and humiliating horror of public flogging, rejection, and crucifixion.

God is infinitely beyond us, yet the life of Yeshua shows us that He does not expect us to suffer with Him merely detached from our pain on the sidelines of life.

No, He has chosen to suffer alongside us through the birth-pains of history.

There is none like Him.
